The Arksen 85 is constructed from aluminium, allowing a lightweight yet robust structure that will last many decades, be readily maintainable and repairable, yet be recyclable at the end of the vessel’s life. The structure is designed to exceed the requirements of Lloyds rule for the size of vessel, providing additional strength for the most demanding adventures – navigating in the icy waters of Greenland, or drying out on a tropical beach for mid-voyage maintenance far from the nearest shipyard.`

Imagine this:

You're on your way to the next dive point, the boat’s GPS guidance system will pick out the exact spot with pinpoint accuracy. Once at the destination, the captain will kick on the boat’s dynamic positioning system to allow it to silently hold station.

The swell is rising, but that is no problem. Despite the waves and tidal flows, the boat’s clever systems will be able to cope. A variety of stabilisation systems onboard keep the boat steady. The Dynamic Positioning System uses data on the heading and location to automatically operate electric bow and stern thrusters. Electric motors on the shaft in combination keep the boat in the same position on the same heading for hours.

As you reach the peak you turn around and look at the valley unfolding around you, your vessel is moored in the cool waters below. All that’s left is to carve your way back down the mountain side, gliding through fresh untouched powder.

For its size the Arksen 85 has a large capacity for carrying tenders and other sports equipment.

The Arksen 85 offers a number of external options, from a painted hull, choice of alternative timber decks, to various crane options depending on how many toys and equipment you have stored onboard. The large aft deck and ability to place the tenders on the outriggers when at anchor provide a multitude of options and use cases.

Not everyone has the same ideals as each other, and therefore we had to design a product that is adaptable to everyone’s needs and aspirations for travel. A couple may wish to have a luxurious layout with a few cabins for a world cruise or a trip across the Southern Ocean. A marine research institution running a series of scientific studies may require lab space, more accommodation, towing equipment and lifting gear for the launch and retrieval of ROVs.
