The 6-seat, extended cab is fully sound insulated, air conditioned and trimmed with premium marine grade vegan leather to deliver the comfort you expect.
Modern audio, connectivity and camera systems coupled with drivetrain upgrades bring the Unimog’s legendary capability up to date.
Marine Inspired Aesthetics
As with Arksen’s Marine vessels, the Arksen U1700’s interior creates both sanctuary from the wildest weather, and the opportunity to connect with the environment.
Marine inspired aesthetics and finishes create a new premium feel, while maintaining the full wipe down practicality needed in the wild. Seating for 5, a 270-degree view, along with a full kitchen and bathroom and ample storage create the ideal bolt hole. The outside kitchen, shower, awning and infotainment system extend your living space in finer weather.
Engineered in Australia with meticulous attention to detail, the Arksen U1700 includes a ground-up body-off restoration with extensive upgrades and modernisations, and the addition of a bespoke four-berth, Arksen expedition body.
We can source donor vehicles to suit your needs including >25yrs which makes our vehicles eligible for import to most markets including the US.
We can build to LHD or RHD specifications and our build time is 8-10 months depending on specification and destination.

Our extended 6 passenger extra-cab conversion includes a full interior re-trim, sound insulation, ISRI air-ride front seats, power steering, overhead A/C, Polaris infotainment system, and a reversing camera.
The marine inspired colour & materials in the expedition body create a calm and comfortable interior that can seat 5 and sleep 4 in comfort. It’s packed with ample storage, integrated blinds / fly screens, LED lighting, A/C, TV & infotainment system, a full kitchen with Corian worktops and surfaces that are easy to wipe down.

The U1700's Marine inspired Arksen Sanctuary and Harbour colour theme with curated colour palette throughout includes Corian kitchen worktops with drop-down extension across doorway for additional space, powder coated aluminium cabinetry with stainless steel latches and laminate bonded flooring for easy cleaning.
However we understand that everyone's adventure plans and requirements vary so we're in the process of expanding our Unimog range and can work with you to define your dream spec.
