Storyteller In Residence

Do you have a story on ocean conservation that needs to be given greater awareness?

Together with Oceanographic Magazine we are offering a £45,000 grant to help one photojournalist tell ocean conservation stories that need to be told.

Why? We are driven to create a greater connection between humanity and the ocean. We want to inspire people to fall in love with, and desire to protect the ocean.

To do this, they need to understand its beauty and fragility. For many living far from the ocean this connection is hard to provoke, so we have partnered with Oceanographic magazine to sponsor their storyteller in residence to generate engaging content and stories from the ocean.

The Storyteller in Residence has access to a £45,000 fund to help tell ocean conservation stories that the world needs to hear. We are looking for a photojournalist or filmmaker with a passion to tell the untold stories of conservation. You just need to have the talent and skills to bring unique stories to life.

This partnership is also in association with our charity 10% For The Ocean. Today, the ocean receives less than 1% of all global charitable giving, making it the least funded of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This Arksen initiative aims to increase this to 10% and ensure all partners in our Ocean Recovery Network have access to requisite funds so they can continue their vital work.
